I’m Marissa Rivera ,an Orlando native who now resides in Brooklyn. I am a multifaced creative who thrives in the intersection of art, event production, and community engagement. With a proven track record of successfully orchestrating events from concept to execution, I bring a unique blend of technical proficiency in Google applications and Office 365 to drive results. My experience as a talent booker and event manager has honed my photography skills, allowing me to capture captivating moments behind with prominent rappers and artists at not only my events. Meanwhile, my passion for fashion and style has equipped me to cater to diverse client styles, whether through personal shopping, styling, or creative direction. When I'm not working on freelance projects or running my own event company, you can find me at the gym, scouring thrift shops for unique vintage and designer finds, reading, or exploring the vibrant streets of New York City. With a strong foundation in community outreach and a strong attention to detail, I'm excited to bring my creative energy to innovative projects and collaborations.

EVENTS

Events bring communities together. Outta the Vault began as a passion project in 2020, after the realization of the lack of creative spaces in my hometown of Orlando, Florida. It quickly evolved into a platform that showcased local talent and fostered connections within the community. Each Outta the Vault event showcased emerging fashion designers, performances by up coming artists like Milan and Nerd1k, a marketplace for artisanal crafts, and networking.Outta the Vault played a pivotal role in shapng the Orlando creative scene. Every aspect of OTV productions—from social media management, marketing, talent booking, and vendor selection to public relations, hosting, and budgeting—was orchestrated by me, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable experience for attendees.

BRANDING

Establishing and growing an event company from scratch is all about creating a distinctive brand identity. When Outta The Vault was just starting out, I took charge of developing its brand across social media platforms, and the results were remarkable! We had over 10k impressions without paid advertising! Along the way, I honed my public relations skills by creating custom boxes for our VIP attendees which were chosen for their exceptional style, talent, or content. These packages featured hand-screenprinted shirts, along with other items, all aimed at creating anticipation for the event. Additionally, OTV joined forces with a local establishment, Royal Original, to host a pop-up event where we gave out free shirts and bags!

PHOTOGRAPHY

From a young age, I've loved capturing different moments through my lens, whether it's a disposable camera, a DSLR, or a trusty point-and-shoot. In recent years, I've had the privilege of photographing concerts featuring talents like Luh Tyler and Soldier Kidd, and collaborating in studio sessions with Florida artists SCY Jimm, Goldeboy Countup, and Wizz Havin. Beyond these events, I enjoy capturing cherished memories at get togethers and parties to preserve these fun memories with my friends forever. With a keen eye for detail and a mastery of studio techniques and lighting, I've also delved into creative directing for editorial shoots, bringing unique visions to life through my photography.
